Red Dirt, Paint Splattered Life

Provisions PC...Delicious Coffee and Delightful Mural!

Posted by Kortny Miller on

This is probably going to be one of my favorite projects for a long whiles! We have the cutest Coffee Bistro in downtown Ponca City, run by the most wonderful people, and I got to design a mural for the back of their business! It got even better then local coffee loves came, grabbed  cup of coffee and and paintbrush and painted a part of this mural! This mural followed closely behind my City Central Community Mural, and it was good to see some familiar faces who needed to sling more paint! The process behind this mural was smoother than my...

Honduras Hills

The way will feel hard and impossible sometimes. You know, the road of life. There were some very steep places we trekked in Honduras. It seemed dangerous, it left me gasping for air..sometimes my legs felt like they were going to give out. This walkway specifically felt like an eternity of empty lungs and burning legs. A quick look at what The Doodle Academy had us drum up a few weeks ago. There is an alleyway close to her store, that acquired some not-so-savory art and with a quick call to me, we rounded up our awesome kids and gave them an opportunity to tape, cut-in, roller, peel off, brush and make a positive impact, along with being a location for folks to come showcase their mural art for free in a cute little framed off box...check below to see mine! Ya'll know I couldn't keep my hands off the paint and doodle a bit!If you're in the...

We don’t like the term “robber”. It has negative connotation and for good reason. They take things from us that are ours...they invade our space! Think about Jesus, and His time leading up to His sacrifice at the cross. Judas double crossed him...Peter denied him 3 times, he was beaten, broke...taken to court in the middle of the night...which was illegal friends...soldiers took his clothes and bartered them to others….viciously and heartlessly hung on a cross with a piercing crown shoved on his head and stabbed in the side....It’s hard to think about. We could look at these events and I...

Support your local artists! It matters!

Art matters. You know that! A custom piece of art in your living room is much more joy-inducing than a generic print from Hobby Lobby (no offense HobLob...i love you, you make my heart happy with all your craft supplies)..but truly! Original works are invaluable...and the story, the time, the possible sweat and tears placed in that. You get a story with an original piece of art. And that will bring so much life to your living area! It will bring so much joy! Check out this smile! Thank you, my sweet little sis, for having your eye on this...
